I used to work for an organic food brand and my husband and I became pretty vigilant about buying organic food as much as possible. I’m talking down to the canned spaghettios, juice boxes and fruit snacks. That is especially true of milk, most fruits and vegetables and meat. We don’t cook meat much at home but when we do we make sure it is at least antibiotic-free.
I definitely drank the all natural, no artificial colors or flavors, low sugar, pesticide free, rBGH free Kool-aid (with the exception of the Danimals Crush Cups and pre-packaged high fructose corn syrup laden Rice Krispie Treats currently in my kitchen).
And I’m also a sucker for advertising and packaging. Do you remember the Swagger Wagon campaign for the Toyota Sienna last year? When we bought our van, my husband had to do 6 months of research, test drive every van and SUV made in 2009 and make friends with every car salesman in a 50 mile radius to choose the Honda. I could have saved him all that time and trouble and picked the Sienna based on how much I love that advertising campaign. Pretty sure the vans are identical except for the symbols on the grills.
But I got off track–kind of. Tonight I want to share a new video from the folks at Chipotle because it is a mashup of lots of things that I think are cool:
1. Willie Nelson singing an original version of a Coldplay song
2. The carnitas burrito bowl from Chipotle, which I love and after watching this I love it even more. Ok, I made the leap from Chipotle to the carnitas bowl but that’s because well, I just told you, I love it
3. Voting with your dollars and supporting brands that do business with integrity
4. Moving away from factory farming and going “back to the start”
5. A really, fun entertaining video that brings the message home and gets people talking–and thinking
